  2. JetMail Main Menu Help

  8. <C>onfiguration setup
  9.         This invokes the JetMail configuration menu.  It allows you to
  10.         select your transfer protocol, compression utility, maximum
  11.         number of messages to scan, and flags for scanning bulletins
  12.         and files.  A more detailed help screen is available from
  13.         Config Command.

  15. <S>elect Conferences
  16.         This allows you to select the conferences that you wish to
  17.         scan for messages.  More detailed help is available from that
  18.         menu.

  20. <D>ownload a Packet
  21.         Prepares a .QWK mail packet containing new messages scanned from
  22.         the selected conferences.  After the messages are scanned, you
  23.         download the .QWK file using the transfer protocol you selectted
  24.         in the Config Menu.  Then you use your offline mail reader to
  25.         read messages in the .QWK.
  26.  
  27. <U>pload a Packet
  28.         Allows you to upload a .REP packet prepared by your offline mail
  29.         reader.  JetMail will process the packet and post messages (your
  30.         replies) in the corresponding conferences.

  32. <P>ointers upload
  33.         In your .QWK is a file with extension .PNT.  This contains all
  34.         the conferences' last message read pointers right before you
  35.         downloaded that packet.  You can upload the .PNT file using this
  36.         command to reset the pointers to the way they were before you
  37.         downloaded the .QWK.

  39. <Q>uit JetMail door
  40.         Quit JetMail, and return to SPITFIRE.

  42. <G>oodbye (Logoff)
  43.         Invokes automatic logoff from BBS.  JetMail gives you ten
  44.         seconds to abort the logoff.  Hit <ESC> to logoff immediately.

  46. <X> Expert Mode Toggle
  47.         Toggles on/off the JetMail menu screen.
